Stuck in the Ideation Stage?

I love having a fun new idea to kick around, maybe it's a topic for a speech, or concept for a blog, or maybe even a new chapter. The ideation phase of concept development can be both exciting and frustrating It's like a creative explosion, and the possibilities feel endless. But here's the thing: many people get stuck in ideation and never move beyond it. Our fab ideas fade away because we don't take them to the next level.

Maybe it's Imposter syndrome, perfectionism, or fear of failure – these barriers of self can keep us from taking action. So, how do we move beyond the ideation stage? One key is to establish clear goals and objectives and evaluate your ideas against them. It's easy to get bogged down in the details, so stay focused on the big picture. Collaboration and feedback from others can also help refine your ideas and push you forward. Remember, the ideation phase is just one step in the concept development process. Don't let yourself get trapped in a cycle of generating ideas without ever taking action. With a clear vision and a willingness to push through the fear, you can turn your ideas into reality. So go out there and make it happen, friends!

Three things we can do to move forward

  1. Define what you want to achieve and establish criteria for evaluating ideas. This will help you prioritize and eliminate ideas that don't fit within your goals or vision.

  2. Share your ideas with others and get feedback. This can help you refine and improve your concepts and get a fresh perspective on your ideas.

  3. Don't let yourself get stuck in ideation. Once you have a clear vision and a few solid ideas, take action and move forward. It's important to start small and take incremental steps toward your goal. Remember, progress is better than perfection, and taking action is the only way to turn your ideas into reality.
